Report back with evidence, not with a spreadsheet built the night before.
From the strategic plan to project close: initiatives with milestones and budget, versioned budgets with variances traced to the purchase that caused them, projects with earned value, petty cash settled with a photo of the receipt, assets assigned to their custodian and documents with versions and retention. For NGOs, foundations, associations and institutions that answer to a board or a funder.
What your business lives with today
- The funder report is built by hand, cross-checking the project spreadsheet against the books.
- Field expense reports arrive weeks late, in an envelope full of crumpled receipts.
- You see a budget line went over, but not which purchase pushed it over.
- Nobody knows who has the laptop or the equipment bought with the previous project.
What you’ll measure
Sample indicators with illustrative data. In MKA they are computed live from your operation.
A day in your business
One project, from plan to close
Strategic initiative
The initiative is linked to its BSC objective and tracked by milestones, with its budget.
Strategy (BSC)Try it right here
Compare versions and drill into a variance.
Finance compares the approved version with the revision, taps the red line and sees the purchases that pushed it over; then a transfer between lines is requested and management approves it.
Try it right here
Log the week’s progress and watch the S-curve.
Close a week, let the team log overtime and approve it: CPI drops, EAC shows the overrun and an @mention alerts the task owner.
Try it right here
From the spender’s phone to Accounting’s inbox.
The receipt is photographed, the system warns if it was already submitted and Accounting processes, returns or discards each pre-invoice; the fund is replenished only for what was approved.
Try it right here
A purchase order approved along the right path.
Add a Management step only for large amounts, submit the order and watch it reach the approver’s phone with its SLA running; reject, reopen and approve while the timeline updates.

FAQ
Does it do fund accounting or accounting by funder?
There is no fund accounting as such today. What there is: cost centers, with trial balance and ledger by cost center and allocation runs for shared expenses, and a budget analyzed by department, cost center or account.
Does it produce the report in my funder’s format?
It doesn’t ship with specific funder formats. Budget reports export to CSV, PDF and Excel, and with the Report Builder you build your own cross-references to reach the format you are asked for.
Do field staff need access to the full ERP to submit expenses?
No. They submit from "My expense reports", which only shows their own funds and receipts, and Accounting reviews everything from the expense inbox.
