Lots & locations

What expires first ships first. Always.

Turn on lot and location control only where you need it: company-wide, per product or per warehouse. On every exit the system suggests the lot that expires first, and every night it checks that the detail adds up to the balance.

Without MKA

  • The new lot ships and the old one expires on the shelf.
  • When a complaint comes in, you can’t tell which customers got a lot.
  • The per-lot balance doesn’t match the total and nobody notices.

Try it right here

Switch control on by level and see what each product requires.

The inventory lead turns control on company-wide, then in the warehouse, and changes each product’s tracking mode. Record an exit: depending on the mode, the system asks for lot, location or both, suggests the lot by FEFO and blocks negative stock. Press “Watch it run” to walk through it.

Try it right here

Ask for a quantity and let the system choose the lots.

What the dispatcher sees: tap 40, 70, 120 or 200 (or move the slider). The expired lot stays blocked, the exit is split across the lots expiring first and, if there isn’t enough, the system says so. Press “Watch it run” to see it play.

Benefits

Why Lots & locations in MKA

None, lot only, lot and location, or location only, per product.

FEFO suggestion

On every exit the system proposes the lot that expires first, splitting across lots if needed.

No negative stock

A tracked item can’t go negative: if there isn’t enough, the system says so before saving.

FAQ

Do I need to track lots on every product?

No. You switch it on per product and per warehouse; untracked products keep working as always.

What if the lots don’t hold enough stock?

The system won’t save the exit: a tracked item never goes negative.
